EMPACT Africa empowers pastors in sub-Saharan Africa to fight the stigma and discrimination of HIV/AIDS, which leads to prevention and treatment of the disease.
Local pastors in sub-Saharan Africa are on the front lines in the war against AIDS. They see their congregations dying, the growing number of orphans, an economy that is losing its productive generation, and the poisonous effects of stigma and discrimination.
Pastors, as recognized community leaders, are in a unique position to change the attitudes and behavior of their congregations and communities. All that is required is to empower and equip them to become community change agents. Â EMPACT Africa’s mission is to support them in this battle. Our name stems from EMpowering Pastors to ACT.
EMPACT Africa has developed a comprehensive program to empower pastors and other local church leaders to guide their congregations through the transformation into stigma-free communities.  Read More
